December is here! I’m sharing this DIY post from a couple of years ago because I can’t wait to use it again. This advent calendar is easy to make and totally customizable and fun for the kids. You can put chocolates, stickers, or trinkets in these little bags and open them all the way until Christmas. I’m putting in little figurines that make up a Nativity scene.
Also super easy to make because I am gifting you these gold advent tags that I designed! Aren’t they pretty? Download the PDF here, and below are the steps on how to make the Advent hanger.
Supplies:
- Birch branch
- Simple string
- Scissors
- Advent tags (download here)
- Glue stick
- Paper bags
- Hole punch

supplies

cut out each advent tag

you’ll have 24 tags.

glue each Advent tag to a paper bag

continue glueing until you have 24 bags.

punch a hole at the top of the bag in the centre.

using simple twine, tie it around one end of your birch branch. Repeat on the other side. Hang where you’d like!

begin hanging each bag on the birch branch. Start with 24 and work your way down to bag 1.

vary the length of the string so you can hang the bags at different heights.

enjoy your Advent calendar!
